After spending a crazy amount of time wondering how to make my 44 year-old body want to run/hike/climb/pedal/aerobicize (but mostly eat) its way to a better me...this is where my thoughts went:

Did I forget to mention that amidst all of the Valentine hoopla this week, Elijah turned 12? Yes, we hosted 13 pre-teen boys Thursday night for "glow-in-the-dark" soccer and "make-your-own" pizza's. It really was a lot of fun - he has such a nice group of friends. They were polite and and very thankful. Weird huh? (Also, pretty rambunctious!)

Happy Easter

I really do think that I like Valentine's Day.
Especially in January.
I convince myself that Valentine's Day will be my mid-winter salvation. All that pink and red happiness.
The truth is-it makes me miserable.
Today was the official "celebrate V-day at school before the 4 day weekend."
Lot's of baking and and buying sugar.

My menu today:
Breakfast: Oatmeal w/a banana
That's it- my only meal. The rest, Valentine's sugar...cookies, candy, chocolate.
Yuck.
It's not even the 14th yet.

Oh well- there's always Easter..
