In Memorium.
I won't lie.
Things have been a little rough lately.
I love Memorial Day because it helps bring things into perspective.
My heart overflows with gratitude for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country--a country that seems to have lost it's own perspective on freedom and the basic principles on which it was founded.
But I love feeling and knowing that there were those who lived and died with honor.
A heartfelt thank you to those men and women.
God bless America.

May. The Fastest Month of the Year So Far.
Seriously, so much has happened this month:
I took a quick trip to Florida to see my favorite family.
We had lots of fun playing together again. :)
Jacob turned 12 and received the Aaronic Priesthood.
Somehow I missed the important pictures in his new suit...
He looks so mature already.
He is also officially taller than Janis,
a right of passage in the Brown family....
Michaela started a new job at Vivant Solar...
Michaela started a new job at Vivant Solar...
...and Bethany started a new job at Sodalicious.
Will played in his final orchestra concert,
he switched it up this semester,
taking on the bass instead of the cello.
taking on the bass instead of the cello.
He also finished his volleyball season...
and took 2nd place overall.
Go Badgers. Yes, really- Badgers.
We went to the Payson Temple Open House...
Yup...
And finally, Elijah flew in for a Court of Honor
where he officially became an Eagle Scout.
Yippee!
One down and one to go.
(Will became a Life scout last night)
So, for a month with another week and a half to go,
we sure have packed it in.
Onward.
