For Spring Break, we decided to visit the amusement park Michael grew up frequenting:Great America.
No one that I know has ever heard of it.
No matter, it was great fun.

We couldn't quite figure out what the Peanuts gang had to do with anything, but they certainly were everywhere...
While most of us enjoyed the high thrill rides....
Some decided the low thrill rides were more their speed. "Whoa, watch where you're going there Hannah!" |
We also spent a day in San Francisco.
Despite it being Nancy Pelosi's stomping ground, we love that city.

We had some fresh sourdough...
...took a picture with some random drunk guy flashing gang signs...

...drove down Lombard street...
...saved Will from being eaten by a shark... |
...and took a goofy totem pole picture on some street corner. However, all the kids will tell you that the best part of the trip was the two hours we spent with the Halliday cousins. |
Even though it had been a couple of years since we had seen them, by the end of the evening it was like we had never parted. It was so fun to see the kids adding each others numbers to their phones and pleading to spend more time together.
Summer plans are in the making.
Here are the cousin match-ups:
Beth and Sully are just three days apart.
Elijah and Molly? Three months.
Will and Cecil, both nine, made boy noises the entire evening
(our apologies to the Olive Garden patrons).

Odd ones out, Hannah and Nic have no cousin match ups. |
Michaela and Merrily were born just three weeks apart.
Last but not least, it's the brother and sister.
Sweet, huh?
We had so much fun.

Does school really start again on Monday???
Ugh.
