Happiness and Harry.

Every once in awhile, your greatest dreams become reality.
And who hasn't dreamed of entering the world of Harry Potter?

Need I say more?

Okay, maybe just a little bit...

I know they say that Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth.
The Labit family would like to politely disagree.

On a Sunday...

So very behind on keeping my family chronicle...
Life seems to be going a little faster than I can keep up with
and there is just no sign of it slowing down soon.
So much to say about our recent trip to Florida.
That will happen soon.
The first week of school has come and gone.
And big changes are coming for our family this week
and henceforth.
All of which have my head and my heart in a whirl.
But-the best thing I did this week was spend a couple of hours with my BFF from college days gone by...
so much laughter and reminiscing, I needed a little of that.

We talked about our Jerusalem days and how much we loved that time of our lives.
I would live those months over and over again in a heartbeat.
We remembered the sacred experiences we had that solidified our faith in Jesus and how everything there testified of Him.
Every night when the sun went down we knew we were one day closer to leaving- and we vowed to make every single day an amazing experience.
We did just that.
I am blessed, then, and now. But I wish I knew how to make every single day here in Provo, Utah an amazing experience...sometimes I feel like I am just surviving rather than really living.
After a great visit with a great friend, I am committing to do better.
Shabbat Shalom.

Happy 20th to Michaela (eek-I have a 20 year old)!

Once upon a time, a highly anticipated little baby girl was born to a clueless set of parents who thought they were ready to begin the adventure of children...
And what an adventure it has been.
Happy Birthday Michaela!
We love you!

And So We're in Florida...

Wednesday night, we hopped a red eye and ended up in Fort Lauderdale at 7:00 in the morning. The conundrum was that we couldn't check into our hotel until 4:00 in the afternoon. We thought that we would do some sight seeing and water tours to fill the time but what we didn't count on was HOW TIRED WE WOULD BE.
We ate some breakfast and still couldn't function. So....we decided that a place where we could park and sleep without being harassed, was the brand new Ft. Lauderdale temple. So that is exactly what we did! We headed there and just crashed. I did manage to drag myself out of the car and take a few photos but they have the quality you would expect from a sleep deprived mom...

After a few hours of sleep, we drove to our hotel to crash on the beach. However, we didn't do much sleeping...

Yep, this beautiful hotel suite, right on the beach was worth the wait.

On Monday, our Orlando adventure begins...

The Last Laugh.

Girls Camp went off without a hitch.
So flawless was it, that we kept pinching ourselves to see if we were dreaming.
Despite lots of rain and big changes in our traditional way of camping, the week went by quickly and seamlessly.
Yay for us.
Until Friday.
As I helped load the luggage on the buses to go home, I felt a twinge in my lower back.
By Saturday morning I was flat on my back surrounded by pain pills and essential oils.
Awesome, considering I have a trip to Florida on Wednesday.

Or do I?

Ever After.

(Yes, it rained every. single. day.)

Girls Camp 2014 has come and gone.
I have come back:
-spiritually stronger,
-with renewed commitment to my faith, and
                         -exhausted beyond comprehension.
           Well done, Girls Camp.
